2019 Tours
Time to get a much delayed newsletter sent! This has been a fun filled spring that has just flown past. Ray and I just finished a tour to the Ark Encounter/Creation Museum with a group from Burlington, IA. We have taken groups to Miami, Key West, Savannah, Charleston and Washington DC, since the first of the year. Now, I am hoping the weather dries up and warms up, so our farmers can get out in their fields and we can get gardens planted. Because my teammate (Ray) starts his summer contract shortly, I am able to unpack my suitcase and enjoy my backyard for a couple of months!

This is my absolute favorite tour! We have included everything Ray and I think you should visit on a once in a lifetime trip to this gorgeous area. Trust me when I say, this will be the fastest tour you will ever go on. When you think two weeks on a bus, oh my gosh! But we are busy every day at a moderate pace. Here is just a little start: Niagara Falls, Shipshewana, Erie Canal, Norman Rockwell Museum, Yankee Candle Flagship, Vermont Country Store, Woodstock, Middlebury Inn, Stowe, Ben & Jerry’s, Kanc Highway, Kennebunkport, lobster bake, Maine beaches, Witch Museum, House of Seven Gables, JFK Library, Lexington, Concord, Battle Road, Old North Bridge, Plymouth Rock, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Newport mansions, Mississippi River Cruise and those are some of the major stops. We do so much and yet, it is not a fast paced tour. Your package includes transportation (2019 Prevost motorcoach), all lodging, some meals, all admissions, experienced driver and tour director. Ozark Mountain Christmas

Christmas without a trip to Branson? I can’t imagine. We are always ready to get into the holiday spirit! Here is our list of shows: Brett’s new Christmas show, Shoji Tabuchi, Showboat Branson Belle, Jim Stafford, Christmas lights tour, Christmas Wonderland, Dixie Stampede, Sight & Sound’s “Miracle of Christmas”, Baldknobbers and MORE! Ten shows to be exact. This package includes transportation (2019 Prevost motorcoach), lodging, reserved seating, some meals, dessert, ice cream and coffee every evening, experienced tour director and driver. Please note that we do not spend any time at shopping malls/outlet centers. We can shop at home. However, we do make a couple of stops at craft centers. We go for the shows with lots of holiday fun! Christmas in Nashville

We are in the process of putting this tour together. Some of the attractions that we have included are: Paducah, KY, Nashville city tour, Christmas lights tour, Country Music Hall of Fame, RCA Studio B tour, Opryland hotel, General Jackson Showboat dinner cruise, the Hermitage (President Andrew Jackson’s plantation), back stage tour of the Grand Old Opry, Grand Old Opry evening show, several meals and holiday fun! As with all our tours, this tour package includes transportation (2019 Prevost motorcoach), lodging, admissions, some meals, professional driver and tour director. I have reserved cabins on Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Lines for Hawaii, February 14th – 26th. This would be a 7 day cruise to the four main islands, plus 4 days on Oahu. Please let me know if you are interested. If we have enough interest, I will certainly get this information out to you.
Also, next April, we will be doing the Mid-Atlantic states, i.e. Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. I was able to do this tour several times with World Wide Country Tours and loved this beautiful area. There is so much history there, plus the coal mines of West Virginia, Kitty Hawk, Civil War and Revolutionary War battle fields, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore, Virginia Beach and on and on and on. If this tour interests you, please contact me and I will get this information to you as soon as I have it all finalized.
Tours are available with pickups on our I-90 route from Rapid City, South Dakota to Sheldon, Iowa, also along our route. Please call us or email for more detailed brochures. As with all tours, we need a certain number of travelers to make it a “go”. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email me. I would love to talk travel with you. Also, when you join a Dover Tour, you do not need to purchase travel insurance. Should you have a legitimate reason for canceling (other than your hair not looking good the morning of departure), I simply refund the cost of the tour, less any penalties assessed Dover Tours. Another thing I always tell travelers, compare, compare, compare! It will be very difficult to beat Dover Tours if you compare content and price. Just as a for instance, New England, another tour company is doing a shorter, with less activity/attractions for almost $4,000.
